Data Collection & Privacy Notice

1. Purpose

This document clarifies the scope, purpose, retention, and security policies of equipment metric data collected by the Pazzk Pulse server to ensure transparency with customers and comply with relevant regulations such as GDPR.

2. Scope of Data Collected

Types of Data Collected

  • System Status (Uptime, Reset Count, FW Version, Booting Time, etc.)
  • Performance Metrics (CPU Load, Heap Status, Filesystem Usage, etc.)
  • Network Status (WiFi Connection/Disconnection, Ping Failure Count, CSMS Connection Status, etc.)
  • Charger Operation Status (Relay Operation, Pilot Signal Measurement, Measured Voltage/Current/Frequency, etc.)
  • Error and Security Events (WDT, OOM, StackOverflow, Emergency Stop, etc.)

Data Not Collected

Personal Identifiable Information (PII: names, emails, locations, payment information, vehicle VIN, RFID/card information, etc.) is not collected.

3. Purpose of Processing

  • Equipment stability monitoring and remote troubleshooting
  • Firmware and hardware quality improvement
  • SLA compliance and performance reporting

4. Data Retention

  • Original data: Maximum 12 months
  • Afterwards: Only anonymized/aggregated data maintained for statistical purposes

5. Access & Security

  • TLS-based encrypted transmission
  • Restricted access by authenticated accounts
  • Data managed according to EU GDPR and applicable regional laws

6. Roles under GDPR

  • Customer (e.g., CPO, Charger Manufacturer): Data Controller
  • Pazzk: Data Processor

7. Data Subject Rights

Since this data does not contain personal identifiable information, GDPR data subject rights do not directly apply. However, we support deletion of specific equipment metrics or shortening of retention periods upon customer request.
